Welcome to part 1 of That American Football Shows 2021 fans mock draft! We will go through the top 5 picks in part 1. This year’s draft Is stacked full of blue-chip players just waiting to change their new team’s future.

So, without further ado with the number 1 overall pick….

Trevor Lawrence
  1. With the first overall pick in the @TAFS NFL Draft 2021 with 68% of the votes the Jacksonville Jaguars select: Trevor Lawrence QB Clemson, the young Quarterback will instantly become QB1. The Clemson superstar won the 2019 National Championships in 2019 and lost out in the final in 2020. A big and athletic quarterback with a huge arm but shows great touch on his throws as well which will translate well in the NFL. Leaves college with an insane 90–17 TD to INT ratio and a 113.6 passer rating.
Zach Wilson

2. With the second pick in the @TAFS Draft with 100% of the votes the New York Jets select: Zach Wilson QB Brigham Young University, the Jets move on from Sam Darnold and you cannot blame them for falling for Wilson. Zach has an incredibly strong arm and we have seen how that can transform a franchise in the same division with Josh Allen. Anyone doubting his arm? Go watch Zach’s viral throw from his Pro Day. Wilson also has a quick release throwing action which is essential in the NFL. In his three years at BYU Wilson amassed a 55–15 TD to INT ratio and averaged a passer rating of an impressive 109.6 average passer rating.

Justin Fields

3. With the third overall pick in the @TAFS Draft with 57% of the votes the San Francisco 49ers select: Justin Fields QB Ohio State University, joins a Super Bowl ready roster under tutelage of offensive wizard Kyle Shanahan. Described as a smaller Cam Newton with more accuracy in his passes. Has issues picking up the blitz but this is coachable. Leaves college with a 67–9 TD to INT ration and a 126.8 average passer rating. Expect the team to move on from Jimmy Garoppolo and give the keys to the franchise to Justin Fields from day one.

Kyle Pitts

4. With the fourth pick in the @TAFS Draft with 38% of the votes the Atlanta Falcons select: Kyle Pitts TE Florida, the 2020 first-team SEC/All-American and John Mackay award winner Kyle Pitts is by far the number one tight end in this 2021 draft. Finished the 2020 season with 12 touchdowns in 8 games with 770 yards on 43 catches. After watching the tape Pitts looks like Darren Waller 2.0, who is too fast for most line backers and too big for defensive backs which causes a matchup nightmare. Deep threat with an ability to get open on short to intermediate routes too. Could end up forming a devasting 1–2 combo with franchise legend Julio Jones.

Penei Sewell

5. With the fifth pick in the @TAFS Draft with 71 % of the votes the Cincinnati Bengals select: Penei Sewell OT Oregon, at 6’5 and 325 pounds the four-star recruit joins the Bengals to protect their young Quarterback Joe Burrow. Penei’s undoubted biggest strength is his elite movement skills to go with his grown manpower. Comes out of Oregon with a 95.7 run block grade and a 91.1 pass block grade. Protecting Burrow is the main priority for the Bengals and expect Penei to be the cornerstone of the offensive line for the next decade.

That concludes Part 1 of That American Football Shows fans mock draft, with the top 5 picks locked in let the guys on the pod know how you feel Part 1 went. Be sure to check out picks 6 to 10 next weekend in Part 2.
