@TAFS Fans Mock Draft Part 2
We are back with Part 2 of That American Football Shows’ fans mock draft, where picks 6 to 10 are made. Be sure to check out Part 1 where the top 5 picks were made.
The Miami Dolphins with pick number 6 are on the clock.
6. With the sixth pick in the @TAFS Draft with 68% of the votes the Miami Dolphins select: JaMarr Chase WR LSU, the Dolphins get Tua what they hope will be their main pass catcher for the reinvigorated franchise. JaMarr comes of out LSU undoubtedly the best Wide Receiver in the draft this year. . In his 2 years playing at LSU Chase finished with 107 catches, 2095 yards, 19.6 avg, 78 long and 23 touchdowns. An all-around receiver who has the speed to be a deep threat but also is physical enough to go and get the ball over DB’s. Great hands, dangerous on slant routes and shows and ability to break tackles and take it to the house. In his recent Pro Day, the star pass-catcher showed off his elite athleticism clock 4.38 forty-yard dash which is sure to put the defensive back in the division on notice.
7. With the seventh overall pick in the @TAFS Draft with 34% of the votes the Detroit Lions select: Micah Parsons LB Penn State, Detroit Lions add a special talent to the Line-backers room which will surely transform last year’s mediocre defence. Rated as a 5-star player coming out of college, standing at 6’3 and 245 pounds Micah has an elite mixture of size and explosiveness. Hardly misses a tackle after only 11 misses in 188 attempts, on the blitz he blows up running backs as he is still truly an edge rusher at heart.
8. With the eighth pick in the @TAFS Draft with 76% of the votes the Carolina Panthers select: Trey Lance QB North Dakota State, Carolina finally gets what they hope to be the long-term successor to Cam Newton. Ironically, they both have similar tendencies, both are big athletic Quarterbacks who have great arm talent, both have the physical tools to succeed in the NFL but also both have accuracy issues. In college, Trey ended up with a 2,949-yard, 30–1 TD to INT ratio and an average 106.3 passer rating. I would not be surprised to see Lance sit for the first part of the season whilst they work on his game and see him come into the starting line-up after the bye week.
9. With the ninth pick in the @TAFS Draft with 49% of the votes the Denver Broncos select: Patrick Surtain II CB Alabama, Denver adds to what has been a position of strength for them in recent years and the pick of Surtain II is sure to continue that tradition. Son of the former 3-time Pro Bowler for the Miami Dolphins Patrick Surtain Sr and this shows are he is by far the most technically sound Cornerback in the Draft this year. Exceptional at the line of scrimmage but has concerns over his speed, but he does have the main skillset of availability and consistency having played the most snaps in college football over the past 3 seasons.
10. With the tenth pick in the @TAFS with 39% of the votes the Dallas Cowboys select: Jaycee Horn CB South Carolina, America’s team address a key area of weakness going into the Draft after going and getting Jaycee Horn. Has undoubted confidence and self-belief which is a key attribute for elite corners in the league. Terrific in man coverage and with his physical style of play it is not just his mouth that does that talking letting receivers know he is there. Great at the point of catch and locating the football but needs to work on his tackling.
