Trevor Lawrence

Has been destined to be the number 1 draft pick since his time at Cartersville High School, the Clemson superstar won the 2019 National Championships in 2019 and lost out in the final in 2020. A big and athletic quarterback with a huge arm but shows great touch on his throws as well, not afraid to take contact when running if needed but gets down when he needs to avoid unnecessary hits. Another string to his bow is that he is incredibly good at play action/RPO which will open up defences in the NFL…

Gareth Ellis Former Wests Tiger Back Rower

There have been several players who have made the switch to the NRL from the English Super League in recent years with the likes of Sam Burgess, who had a famous head clash with England and Bulldogs James Graham. Burgess was also joined by his twin brothers Tom and George at Souths. Wigan trio Bateman, Sutton and Williams have also joined fellow Englishman Josh Hodgson at Canberra Raiders. Gareth Ellis was named player of the year numerous times at Wests Tigers and Adrian Morley made his mark on opposing players to say the least, whilst at the Roosters.

Here are…

Super League Preview Part 2

Last year’s finish to the Grand Final was just as crazy and unpredictable as 2020 after local junior Jack Welsby capitalised on hesitation from Wigan fullback Bevan French to clinch another title for Saint Helens. Both these teams will start out favourites to get back to the games showpiece event which all been well will be hosted at Old Trafford.

Hull FC — Former Wests Tigers fullback Brett Hodgson takes control of Hull in his first year which should reinvigorate a team that seems to have stagnated over the last few years. One player that…

Its that time of the year again where teams are in the middle of a long dark and freezing cold pre-season with many teams already been affected by COVID for a few squads. Hopefully, this season will have some more normality and a lot less stop and start, the teams in part one will all be looking to improve and push towards the playoffs.

Leigh Centurions- Newly promoted teams tend to struggle when coming into the league and I can see if been more of the same sadly for Leigh fans. They have bags of experience in the likes of…

Superbowl Sunday! We are finally there after a long, strange season that if we are all honest we were a little sceptical if we would make it this far. To get to this point has been a huge effort by everyone involved from the NFL, players, family and more importantly the staff and medical personnel from each team with strict testing and procedures who have all made great sacrifices making sure the season could go ahead. …

Since the NFL brought multiple games to London in 2013 the game here seems to have grown massively, as loved as the game is over here by casuals and more seasoned fans it a challenge at times to be a fan with the games been late on a Sunday. So, here is a look at how I got into the NFL and how many of the other fans have to do to watch the games.

My first proper year in road cycling

In 2019 I dipped my toe into the road cycling world, but I struggled to find the time to put into it with commitments to work and playing amateur rugby. Ironically, the motivation that brought me to put me out a lot more time and effort into cycling in 2020 was a rugby group on Strava to keep us going whilst in the first lockdown. I found I really enjoyed cycling as is a sport that I will defiantly be keeping up with.

I have found there are many ups with cycling but…

After arguably the strangest 6 nations we have ever had last year the pinnacle of international rugby union in the Northern Hemisphere, this year holding extra importance for the home nations with the added prospect of places in the coveted Lions jersey been up for grabs across the board.

On a personal level the 6 nations for me have always been watching the games on a Saturday after finishing a game of rugby myself in the cold winters of Yorkshire which sadly have missed out on for thousands of players around the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On a…
